 TeamUnify, a provider of team management services, has been named a preferred provider for USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport of Swimming. As part of the three-year agreement, the organizations will work together to provide quality business tools, communications and education to swim clubs across the nation.  Over the next three years, USA Swimming and TeamUnify will engage in content sharing of their educational webinars for coaches and clubs.  USA Swimming has announced the swimmers named to the 2010-2011 USA Swimming National Team. The roster features a total of 94 swimmers, including Olympic gold medalists Ryan Lochte, Rebecca Soni, Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin.   Swimmers were chosen for the USA Swimming National Team based upon their times in Olympic events at the 2010 at the ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships and the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships. Ryan Lochte was named USA Swimming’s Swimmer of the Year at the annual U.S. Aquatic Sports Awards Banquet Saturday. The two-time Olympian won six gold medals at the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships, and was the high-point winner at the 2010 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships. Through decisive action at today's House of Delegates meeting, USA Swimming will expand its athlete protection efforts across multiple areas. The measures, which were put forth by the Board of Directors, will educate the membership on the issue, implement athlete protection policies, expand background checking to include all non-athlete members and require those employees and volunteers that interact with athletes to become members, and therefore undergo background checking.
