New apprentice needs to complete the following before starting on deck:

  1. Sign up for an account online with USA Swimming, if they do not already have one.
  2. Gain Apprentice Official Membership with USA Swimming
  3. Complete the following Courses
    1. Foundations of Officiating
    2. Stroke and Turn Certificatoin Course and Assessment

Apprentice needs to download the Apprentice Log form to take to each session (link to the form here)

Prior to certification Apprentice needs to complete the following:

  1. Apprentice 4 session over 2 meets
  2. Complete the following:
    1. Athlete Protection Training
    2. Back Ground Check
    3. Concussion Protocol Training
  3. Gain Non-Athlete Official Membership with USA Swimming.
