Florida Gold Coast Official Mike Fish passed away today after succumbing to injuries sustained when he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle in South Florida. As per the Steering Committee’s April 2011 decision, the 2011 AT&T Short Course National Championships to be held December 1-3 in Atlanta, GA will now be a Long Course competition to allow participants an opportunity to achieve Olympic Trials qualifying standards. Dear Florida Swimming Clubs and Coaches, There is a revision to the list of candidates for the 2011 Southern Zone Age Group Championship Meet in Cary, NC July 26th - 31st. Only the 13-14 girls list has been revised. The revision is due to the change is eligibility rules established by the Southern Zone. The upper eligibility limit of achieving a 2009 U.S. Open time standard is only for the 15-18 age group. Therefore, any 11-12 and 13-14 swimmers are not affected by the rule. I apologize...
