Missy Franklin, of course, dominated. High school senior Ryan Murphy scored a big win over Ryan Lochte in the 100m backstroke. 15-year-old Becca Mann completed an impressive double in which she won the 800m freestyle and then seven minutes later won the 200 IM.   Election for FL Junior Athlete Representative to the 2013-2014 Florida Swimming Board of Directors will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, during prelims of the “2013 Florida Swimming Spring Senior Championship”, in Orlando, FL.  Candidate applications will also be accepted on Thursday & Friday, at the meet.   A ballot box will be open for voting from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on deck at the meet on Saturday, February 23, 2012.   Application Notice

Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin (Centennial, Colo.) and Becca Mann (Clearwater, Fla.) each closed out the Arena Grand Prix at Orlando with two first-place finishes. Olympic gold medalists Dana Vollmer and Missy Franklin were each victorious on the first night of competition of the Arena Grand Prix at Orlando. Vollmer won the women’s 100m fly while Franklin earned a first-place finish in the 200m free. The meet, taking place at the YMCA Aquatic Center in Orlando, runs through Saturday, February 16.
