USA Swimming has updated the Coaches Safety Training Requirements.   We have the new information posted under the "Coaches" tab, along with a tab and link for the Safety Training for Swim Coaches with the American Red Cross.

The following attached list of USA-S Coach Certification Courses will go into effect on September 1, 2013.      1.  All references to first aid have been removed and first-aid-only courses have been removed.  First Aid is no longer a required course.     2.  The APT-Athlete Protection Training requirement will be an annual certification.     3.  The section on STFSC-Safety Training for Swim Coaches has been updated.   USA-S Coach Certification Courses

USA SWIMMING'S SCHOLASTIC ALL-AMERICA TEAM 2011-2016 Time Standards   2012-13 Scholastic All America Applications Each year, USA Swimming recognizes its members who excel both in the classroom and in the pool. The Scholastic All-America Team is made up of high school student-athletes who have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and who have achieved the required time standard in a single event.  To be eligible for this recognition, swimmers must have completed 10th, 11th or 12th grade and must be a USA Swimming member athlete. 2013 Nomination Forms are now available for open positions on the BOD.   The election will be held at the Annual Convention on October 6, 2013. The form must be turned in to the Florida Swimming Office by September 9th.

The Florida Zone team competed in Greenville SC last week and Team Florida finished 2nd out of 13 team entered into the Southern Zone meet.  Team Captains were Lindsey Trematerra and Max Bungert, they led Team Florida to some phenomenal swimming..  Both the Senior men and women won their age groups.  Winner of individual events were: Kaitlyn Cronin 50 Free & 50 Back Abi Burke 100 Free Lindsey Trematerra 100 Free McKenna Harris 100 Breast Robert Finke 1500 Free William McKinney 50 Fr (Jr Nat) Team Florida had 42 swimmers make...
