Intrasquad-Dual Meets

Intrasquad-Dual Meets under 2 hours and follow all USA Swimming/Florida Swimming sanctions rules will incur no sanction fee or surcharges.  More information to follow.

Formation of Age Group/Senior Committees

Formation of a Senior and Age Group Committees chaired by the respective chairs. These will consist of a non-athlete coach member from each Area (elected from 5 other Areas different from the chair) & 2 athletes, appointed by the athlete committee (as per recommended by USA Swimming). These committees would meet twice a year annually and would be responsible for development of meet calendar, qualification standard calculations and championship meet format.

Deck Pass Rule

Deck passes for team coaches with current USA Swimming coaching credentials will be available based on the following formula:

1 Swimmer; 1 deck pass

2-7 Swimmers; 2 deck passes

8-15 Swimmers; 3 deck passes

16-23 Swimmers; 5 deck passes

24- 32 Swimmers; 6 deck passes

Over 32 Swimmers; 7 deck passes

Deck passes for coaches must be entered through OME prior to checking out.   There is no option for “on deck request” of deck passes.

Teams can purchase extra Deck passes for a price established by the host.

Sectionals

The Executive Committee met on 10/9 to discuss further interpretation of the Sectional ruling made at the FL HOD meeting.  Approved verbiage below:

Southern Zone Sectional Championship meet weekends will be protected unless meet includes alternate format (course, P/F vs. TF) not included in the Sectional meet.
