ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL CLINICS AT CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS-NEW REQUIREMENT
As most of you know, USA Swimming now has a requirement as of September 1, 2013 that all meets be attended by an Administrative Official who is responsible for assuring times submitted into the SWIMS database are accurate and official. All LSCs have been scrambling to get this education and certification process in place, and we're no different in FL.
On both Saturday and Sunday at approximately 1pm, I will be hosting the FL Admin Official clinic in the aerobics room behind the diving well. It is a power-point presentation that will probably last about 1.5 hours (depending on the number of questions). You are more than welcome to attend, as are any parent volunteers you may have on your team who are involved in the timing operations at your meets. Please extend my invitation to them, as well. Officials are also being encouraged to attend in a separate email. Attendance at an admin official clinic is a requirement in FL for AO certification. Additional requirements will be outlined during the presentations.
FYI to the FL teams, there will also be AO Clinics at FLAGs, Sr. Champs, Area 2 champs (on Saturday, 8/4, 1pm also in the aerobics room at the Y), and additional clinics are being arranged. More information...
