THE MAY-JUNE ISSUE OF SPLASH IS ONLINE NOW

Matt Grevers points to the crowd after winning the gold medal in the 100 back in London. The May-June 2013 issue of Splash is now available online and as a mobile app for your iPad and iPhone.

Ten American swimmers won individual gold medals at last year’s Olympic Games in London. In this issue, we asked each of them – minus Michael Phelps – a few questions that would help you get to know them better. We also asked them to give us five tips for swimming their gold medal events that you can use to swim faster.

Nathan Adrian
At a recent photo shoot, Nathan Adrian had to lie in chin-high water mixed with acrylic paint for several hours to get the perfect photo for an ad campaign. It looked like he was in milk, which he said would have tasted better and been less chalky. That’s the kind of sport Adrian is, and it belies his ultra-competitive nature – the same nature that drove him to win his first individual gold medal last summer in London in the 100m freestyle.
