2011-12 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Program Open On Line!!
Each year USA Swimming selects athletes to become members of the USA Swimming
– Scholastic All-American (SAA)Team. The program is open to high school
sophomores, juniors and seniors that have a 3.5 GPA and have attained the specified
time standard in a single event. The program also has specific qualification standards
for Disability Athletes and Open Water swimmers.
This year’s application process will be entirely on-line through the USA Swimming
website. The student athlete will be required to upload a complete transcript from both
semesters of the 2011-2012 school year. The application system opened on June 1,
2012 and close on August 15, 2012.
This is a fantastic program for high school swimmers. Being named to the team gets
your swimmers instant recognition by college programs looking for success both in the
pool – and in the classroom. Swimmers named to the team receive a Scholastic All-
American certificate. Swimmers who are named to the team for all three years receive a
special recognition gift from USA Swimming. It costs nothing to apply to the program.
