Outreach and Diversity Newsletter

Dear Florida Swimming Clubs:

Here is the 1^st Edition of the Outreach & Diversity Newsletter, MPACTS (Motivating Parents and Children to Swim). The Publication of this newsletter was one of the goals of our Outreach & Diversity Committee. It will be published on a quarterly basis and our hope is that it encourages, promotes and highlights the Outreach programs, activities and efforts of our FL Swimming clubs.

This is an E-Newsletter and its primary distribution will be via email, however, you’re welcome to print it. Please consider forwarding to your parents, board members and others affiliated with your club as we’ve got some great things going on within FL Swimming and want to share it. It may also generate some ideas for you.

I will also plan to distribute to fellow Diversity Chairs across the country, in addition to the USAS Diversity Team.

I’d like to encourage you to submit stories; information about outreach events; pictures of athletes to feature “In the Zone”; Coaches for “Coaches Corner”; and I’d also like to feature our Officials. Anything else you feel might be newsworthy is welcome. You’ll find the publication and deadline schedule on the last page of the newsletter.
