JUNIORS WRAPS UP IN ATLANTA

 

Swimmers broke seven meet records Saturday at the 2010 Speedo Short Course Junior National Championships in Atlanta. A total of 20 meet records fell over the course of the three-day meet.

Breaking meet records Saturday were Evan Pinion of Pilot Aquatic Club in the men’s 1650-yard freestyle (15:02.07), Courtney Bartholomew of Michigan Lakeshore in the women’s 200y backstroke (1:53.16), Jacob Pebley of Corvallis Aquatics  in the men’s 200y back (1:42.73), Mary Olsen of Sun Devil Aquatics in the women’s 200y breaststroke (2:10.03), Tanja Kylliainen of Loyola Blakefield in the women’s 200y butterfly (1:56.01), Will Hamilton of Great Lakes Aquatics in the men’s 200 fly (1:44.46), and Dynamo Swim Club in the men’s 400y medley relay (2:59.73).

Other first-place finishers Saturday included Kathryn Campbell of Swim Pasadena in the women’s 1650y free (16:18.30), Madeline Locus of First Colony in the women’s 100y free (49.01), Andrew Kosic of Golden Ram Aquatics in the men’s 100y free (44.19), Zachary Gunn of Nitro Swimming in the men’s 200y breast (1:58.56), and First Colony in the women’s 400y medley relay (3:21.92).
