FIVE MEET RECORDS FALL ON THE FIRST NIGHT OF JUNIORS
Five meet records fell on the first night of the Speedo Junior National Championships in Atlanta. The meet is being held Dec. 9-11, 2010
Breaking meet records Thursday was First Colony in the women’s 200-yard free relay (1:32.06), Dynamo Swim Club in the men’s 200y free relay (1:21.83), Evan Pinion of Pilot Aquatics in the men’s 500y free (4:18.88), Sun Devil Aquatics in the women’s 400y medley relay (3:42.08), and Bolles School Sharks in the men’s 400y medley relay (3:21.15).
Other first-place finishers Thursday included Kathryn Campbell of Swim Pasadena in the women’s 500y free (4:41.47), Tanja Kylliainen of Loyola Blakefield Aquatics in the women’s 200y IM (1:59.34), Jared Markham of the Greenwood Tigers in the men’s 200y IM (1:47.28), Madeline Locus of First Colony in the women’s 50y free (22.76), and Nick Dillinger of Gillette Swim Team in the men’s 50y free (20.28).
