BAXTER, IRIONDO TAKE 1-2 IN 10K IN MAUI

 

Team USA’s Tristin Baxter and Damarias Iriondo went 1-2 in the women’s 10K open water race Monday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. Baxter finished nearly three minutes ahead of the rest of the field, turning in a time of 1 hour, 58 minutes and 42.77 seconds. Iriondo was second in 2:01:35.60, while Japan’s Haruna Ota was third in 2:03:16.67.

 

 

Also representing Team USA in the women’s race was Nicole Vernon (6th, 2:04:29.37) and Taylor O’Brien (15th, 2:22:41.70)

On the men’s side, the USA’s Harry Stephenson was 4th in 1:53:30.26, while teammates Jackson Partin was sixth in 1:55:31.41 and Adam Hinshaw was ninth in 1:56.11.94.
