Make A Splash Information

Dear Friends:

August is going to be an incredibly exciting time for our sport!  Highlighting the month will be the ConocoPhillips U.S. National Championships and the Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships, both of which will be staged at an outdoor swim stadium in Irvine, California.  I'll be there in my capacity as a commentator for NBC, which is broadcasting both events; and the Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships will also be broadcast worldwide! 

While these exciting events will be in the public spotlight, the USA Swimming Foundation will be simultaneously continuing to work on its national learn-to-swim initiative, Make a Splash!  To date the USA Swimming Foundation has signed up more than 230 Local Partners in 42 states and more than 370,000 children have been reached via Make a Splash programming.  With the support of donations, we have also been able to provide scholarship assistance to more than 16,500 children who might otherwise not have had the opportunity to learn how to swim.

I am writing you today to make a special appeal.

Please join me in making a simple $30 donation and joining Make a SplashNation so we can continue this very important work. Your donation will go to support our Make a Splash efforts, and in return for your generous support, you receive a small token of appreciation from all of us here at the USA Swimming Foundation.
