FS wins OW All Star Challenge...GCST wins FS Open Water Championships

Gulf Coast Swim Team (GCST) won the team title at the Florida Swimming Open Water All-Star Challenge in a close battle with Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center (BSAC) 88 to 77. Highlander Aquatics (HIGH) finished 3rd with 42 points.  West Florida Lightning Aquatics (WFLA) and Swim Florida (SWIM) tied for 4th with 32 points. 

Event winners were 10 & Under Girls - Lindsay Bowden BSAC, 10 & Under Boys - Blake McGovern BSAC, 11-12 - Girls Savannah Bowser GCST, 11-12 Boys -  Wes McGoven BSAC, 13-14 Girls - Bailey Bowden BSAC, 13-14 Boys -  Alex Pena HIGH,15-16 Girls -  Hannah Albion GCST, 15-16 Boys - Steyn Funk HIGH, Senior Girls - Claire Thompson WFLA, and Senior Boys - Matthew Thompson WFLA.

Florida Swimming wins All-Star Challenge

Florida Swimming LSC and Florida Gold Coast LSC came to Fort Myers Beach, Florida for the first Open Water All-Star Challenge.  Florida Swimming won the cup with 171 to FGC's 262 points in the cross country style team scoring.  Florida Swimming events winners included Savannah Bowser (11-12 Girls), Wes McGovern (11-12 Boys), Baily Bowden (13-14 Girls), and Alex Pena (13-14 Boys). FGC's Damaris Iriondo and Carlos Omana won the 15-18 divisions.
