FS Officials June '08 Newsletter- Welcome to Summer!
 
Attached is the latest Newsletter updating the fast-approaching deadline for Florida Swimming Officials' Recertification.  There are only about two weeks left to get those online recertification tests completed and attend a clinic.  More details in the Newsletter.
 
There's also information on the upcoming LSC Championship meets, new officials in Florida Swimming, Olympic Trials and High School swimming!
 
As always, if an official isn't receiving this newsletter please ask them to contact me with their email address and we'll get them on the list. This newsletter and previous editions can be found on the Florida Swimming website in the Officials section.

 FS Officials April '08 Newsletter- The latest edition of the Florida Swimming Officials Newsletter is attached.  It contains very important information on the Online Testing website and remaining Recertification Clinics, as part of the effort to get all officials in our LSC certified prior to the deadline.  There's also information on summer championship meets and special news for meet referees.
 
If you know of an official who isn't receiving this email, please ask them to contact me with their email address.  I use the emails associated with your 2008 USA Swimming registration. If you have since changed your address, or prefer to use another one, please let me or Steve Altheimer (flippincoin@gmail.com) know.

Final Recertification Schedule- If you have not had the opportunity to attend one of the Florida Swimming Officials Recertification Clinics, the final schedule of available meets where recertification clinics will be held is listed below.  Please remember to bring your USA Swimming Rule Book. 

 

Many of the officials needing to attend the recertification clinics will also be working these local meets.  If you or your team will be attending any of the meets listed, please consider volunteering so that the other officials can complete their clinic requirements.

 

*** FYI: The Area 1 Recertification Clinic schedule for the greater Jacksonville area is not finalized.  Please contact Roger Deary for more information.

 FS Officials Newsletter - February '08- This is a quick update on information you need for your Florida Swimming Officials Recertification.  All officials in our LSC participate in the recertification requirements, which must be completed by June 1, 2008.  The recertification clinics will take place at swim meets, and if you are coming to a meet only to attend the clinic then the offerings in Hospitality are not for you!  Please remember Hospitality is set up and stocked ONLY for the volunteers at that meet!  Thanks!

Also, if you haven’t yet registered with USA Swimming for 2008, please find the necessary non-athlete form on the Florida Swimming website under E-Forms.

As a reminder, there are 4 large championship meets coming up that could use your expertise.  Please email the following officials with your availability.

 Florida Swimming Announces 2007 Award Winners- At this past weekend's Florida Swimming House of Delegates Meeting the Florida Swimming 2007 Swimmer of the Year Award Winners along with the Age Group Swimmer of the Year Award Winners and Coach of the Year Award Winners were all announced.  Congratulations to the following 2007 Florida Swimming Award Winners:
